I love fungi. I can't help it, I always have. This is growing around the top of a stump that I use as a base for a huge pot planted with daylilies and tulips [soon to be up, I hope!]. It looks like a garden fairy's ruffled rug. I love the colors and the texture and the effortless beauty. I used to try to preserve sections but it's a temporary beauty caused by moisture and temperature so I never succeeded. I will have to be content with pictures of the natural mosaic.
