Our Entry

This was very much a "family" wedding. It involved all our family members, even ones no longer with us. This dresser and the old doors came from T.P.'s house. T.P. was my daddy's best friend and we all loved him. He was always considered a member of our family and came to eat frequently. After daddy died T.P. kept coming to eat and finally I suggested that Mother marry him so he could buy some of the groceries! She did, he was then "officially" a member of our family and I know it made him as happy as it did us! The kids never knew my daddy as their granddaddy, only T.P., so the doors from his house were significant to them.

The Signpost

This was a fun project! Started off with a half barrel and evolved from there! Again, good ole Uncle Sam made the arrows and my friend Sherry did the lettering. I'm going to leave it up, just exchange some of the signs. We don't Always have a brunch and a bar going on but we did for this wedding and it was so, so fun! Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Screwdrivers. I usually have coffee in the morning but who could pass this up?

A Little Old Fashioned

How cute is this? From the very beginning I pictured this heart on the tree. It was one of my favorite "details" and got a lot of comments. Young people liked it, older people liked it--it's a huge old oak tree that you couldn't miss. {Even me and I am So unobservant!} Again, we are setting the tone!

Straight Ahead!

Once you turn left you can only go one way but we loved the idea of this wedding sign. Uncle Sam cut the sign out for Megan as one of her wedding gifts and we had the lettering done. I loved it, it had the "look" already going on! Vintage, shabby chic, and eclectic.

Lots of people travel down our shady lane daily. Some have made a wrong turn, some are exploring, many are customers that just want to see what's blooming. Today however we had a wedding going on and needed to just have the guests pulling in, so this polite sign was at the very beginning.

Perfect Timing

First of all the lilies were in peak form. I needed them to be for the background color and for the many floral arrangements to be done and they didn't let me down.
