Sunset Miracle
Tuscawilla Tigress
Stay tuned......
I believe there are no coincidences. About four years ago I decided I needed June color in the garden and I knew day lilies were easy and accessible. I proceeded to order a few and then started receiving catalogs and realized that day lilies had come a long way, baby! Aunt Lina had a pretty extensive collection of them years and years ago and always wanted to dig them for me. I really only liked this one at the time, the others were all so peachy and insipid to me. This big yellow girl I loved. She has been divided frequently and brightens lots of corners with her big smile. Now she has the company of hundreds of friends--reds, pinks, purples, creams--some ruffled, some rounded, some triangular. My obsession prevails and I continually order more. But you see there are no coincidences. If I didn't have day lilies what would be blooming for Megan's wedding?
So please stay tuned because this time next week I will be posting pictures of the wedding and all the tiny little details that I feel will make it "special".

Just a peek!!!
She hasn't seen it yet, I do hope she likes it. This will not be a big, fancy affair. It will not even be a lot of people's tastes. But it will be lovely and sweet and it will suit us perfectly. Kim and I brainstormed together on this and it just "worked". I love when that happens! It came together bit by bit and it's crowning glory has a nest in it. Don't tell Megan I showed it to you! Seriously, don't-- I want it to be a surprise!
C.A.R.E.'s Yard Sale--For the Love of Dogs
We work very hard at fundraising. It takes a lot of cold hard cash for the vetting, the expected expenses and the unexpected. Shots, spays, neuters, heartworm tests and often treatments, plus all the extras--Health certificates and bordetellas if they travel, food, kennels, flea preventions, the list is endless. All for the love of dogs. But let me tell you--we get far more from them than they do from us. And anyone that doesn't get that, truly doesn't Get it is just not a whole person as far as I'm concerned and I feel sorry for them.
So this posts is to thank everyone that took the time to clear out a closet, to collect a few items no longer needed, to bake or help us in any way because we could NOT have done it without you. Seriously. And all the Honey Girls of the world thank you too with wags and licks, adoring eyes and loyalty like you wouldn't believe.
